‘Boruto’ Just Reminded Everyone Why You Don’t Mess With Naruto

Warning! Spoilers for Boruto‘s 23rd episode lie below!

After all these years, you would think the ninja world knows better than to mess with Naruto. However, there are still baddies out there willing to step to the Hokage, and Boruto just reminded everyone why that is a terrible idea.

This week, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations released its 15th episode, and the update wrapped up the anime‘s ‘Naruto Gaiden’ arc. Fans watched as Sasuke and Sarada reunited with Sakura as the family brought Shin Uchiha down. However, for Naruto lovers, they had their eyes focused on one scene in particular.

Boruto follows Naruto at one point as the older ninja fights a herd of Shin’s clones. The young ninjas think they can overwhelm Naruto with numbers, and one very brave clone tries to get a sneak attack in on Naruto. The Hokage manages to stop himself from being stabbed right before Shin Jr. can do anything, and his next words made fans lose it.

Naruto looks up at the clone with his eyes bleeding red. After so long, Kurama makes his presence in Naruto known, and the Tailed Beast is none to happy about the Uchiha threatening his host. Naruto even tells Kurama and the clone to calm down, and the Internet has a lot of feelings about the moment.

Not only does the scene remind fans of Kurama’s presence, but it also shows how much Naruto has been holding back. Fans may be worried the ninja has been nerfed in Naruto, but the moment clearly nods to the untold power which rests in seal placed on Naruto’s torso. And, as you can see below, fans didn’t know whether they should scream in joy or terror over the moment.

So, this reaction may be a tad bit extreme, but Naruto fans can understand the fan’s excitement over Kurama. The fox may have caused a lot of issues for Naruto growing up, but the pair have since beecome one of the franchise’s most beloved duos to-date.
