The finale of the Mugen Train story arrived with a tear-jerking conclusion as Rengoku found himself unable to beat the top-tier demon known as Rengoku. With Tanjiro and his friends mourning the loss of one of the strongest members of the Hashira, fans of Demon Slayer has begun to discuss whether the top members of the Demon Slayer Corps would be able to do what the Flame Hashira could not and defeat Rengoku in a one-on-one fight. Needless to say, it’s definitely a possibility that we could see Akaza battle some of the strongest swordsmen in the world.

Needless to say, one of the biggest aspects of the Shonen franchise’s next arc, the Entertainment District Arc, will focus on the fallout of Rengoku’s demise as one of the heaviest hitters of the Hashira swears revenge, with Tanjiro and his young friends grieving for their friend while continuing to search for the secrets behind the fire breathing technique.
