Demon Slayer Has Exciting News For Fans in December

Not long after its release, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle became the highest-earning anime film of all time. The film was released on July 18th, 2025, in Japan before making its debut in U.S. theaters on September 12th. Infinity Castle is the most intense arc in the entire series, featuring some of the best fights in modern Shonen. Just the first part includes three epic fights against the Upper Moon demons, and there’s a lot more to come. After the film’s phenomenal global success, fans are awaiting the next two parts of the trilogy, which will continue the epic showdown inside the Infinity Castle. However, it hasn’t been long since the film premiered on the international stage, so the studio hasn’t announced anything related to the second part yet.

The production of the film trilogy has been going on for at least five years, right around the time when the manga reached its conclusion. Since Ufotable doesn’t plan on having longer gaps between each part, we may not have to wait that long for Part 2. The anime has been releasing new seasons or films every year since 2019, which is something fans always anticipate. Unfortunately, according to an interview by Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Purini, which was published in September, Ufotable hasn’t decided on a release date for the second part yet. On the bright side, Demon Slayer is preparing for a major event in December 2025 that just might reveal the information fans are waiting for.

Jump Festa 2026 will be held on December 21st and 22nd, 2025, where Demon Slayer will take the Super Stage. It’s one of the biggest anime and manga conventions held annually by Shueisha, where several Shonen series share the latest news about their new projects. The two-day event has been continuing since 1999, and it now gathers over 100,000 people every year. As one of the most successful Shonen Jump series of all time, Demon Slayer often takes the Super Stage to announce exciting updates.

The anime will take the stage on December 21st from 11:40 AM to 12:10 PM JST. The official website of the anime revealed that four of the series’ main cast, the voices behind Tanjiro Kamado (Natsuki Hanae), Zenitsu Agatsuma (Hiro Shimono), Giyu Tomioka (Takahiro Sakurai), and Shinobu Kocho (Saori Hayami), will be in attendance during the Festa. The voice actors will be interacting with the audience and sharing their experiences recording for the show throughout the years.

Considering the scale of the event, we can also expect exciting announcements regarding the series. Whether we will get updates regarding Infinity Castle Part 2 is still unconfirmed, but there’s still a high possibility that Ufotable will reveal something major. All seasons of Demon Slayer, including the Infinity Train film, are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. The first installment of Infinity Castle will take at least a few months before announcing a streaming date, so we can expect it to land on the platform sometime next year.
