Dragon Ball Super Episode 87 Previews Goku, Android 17 Team-Up

Let’s make one thing clear: stepping to Goku is a dumb thing to do, but challenging the Saiyan and Android 17 is suicidal. Fans of Dragon Ball know just how powerful the two characters are, and they both have a hard time holding back against opponents who underestimate them. After all, Goku is not someone who can settle for second best, and Android 17 became a fighter for good after the Cell Saga finished.

However, it looks like one crew of hardened space poachers didn’t quite get the memo about the two men. In the next episode of Dragon Ball Super, fans will watch as a slew of pirates try to encroach upon the park Android 17 oversees. And, when they do, they will be met by the artificial human’s wrath.

Oh, and Goku too.

The preview for Dragon Ball Super‘s 87th episode can be seen above, and it gives fans a taste of the brutal beatdown waiting for these poachers. The gnarly crew is shown abducting minotaurs, and Goku offers to his help to Android 17 in the hopes that the fighter will join Universe 7 in the upcoming Tournament of Power.

There are a few additional shots housed in the preview montage outside of Android 17’s home, and they involve two familiar faces. Fans are shown Beerus as he wakes up rather violently from a nap while Vegeta is see looking somewhat disgruntled. There is no telling why the Saiyan is upset given his surely disposition. It would be Goku’s luck for his rival to find out the consequences of the martial arts tournament next week. After all, the Saiyan has been hard-pressed when it comes to fortune as of late.

“When Goku asks 17 to join the tournament, he turns his offer down. The two then sense something approaching and see a spaceship in the dark sky.”

A second summary of the episode has also been released. The other description says Android 17 is pushing back against poachers to save animals. Goku pitches in to help the other to get rid of the invaders, and it pushes 17 to join the tournament.

Dragon Ball Super‘s “Universal Survival” saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
