A brand-new arc is underway for Dragon Ball Super, and it promises to be an action-packed affair. Thanks to Goku, a martial arts tournament has been instated for the multiverse to compete in, and losers will see their homes destroyed by the Omni-Kings. With so much at stake, the anime will be introducing a slew of new characters for Goku and his fellow Universe 7 warriors to contend with. And, over on Toei Animation’s website, a few fighters and gods from Universe 9 and 11 have been given official descriptions.
In a recent update, the character page for the studio published several pictures and biographies for the anime’s newest additions. For Universe 9, the Kai Rou was introduced to fans. Voiced by Yasunori Masutani, the character is one who tends to poke fun at the other universes. As for the universe’s God of Destruction, the honor belongs to the dwarfish character Sidra. The powerful being is said to be indecisive and unable to destroy anything because of his fickle nature.
As for the universe’s warriors, Basil and Bergamo were introduced with character close-ups. The first fighter is a red, bipedal wolf who wears a dark cape. Known for his powerful kicks, Basil is the youngest brother of a gang known as the Trio of Dangers. As for Bergamo, the warrior is nicknamed ‘Poison Bergamo’ thanks to his ability to manipulate poisons and inability to fight fair.
When it comes to Universe 11, the only character hailing from the dimension is its Kai. Appropriately named Kai, the god is a gentle one who is said to have a strong sense of justice.
