It looks like the world of Dragon Ball Super is about to meet some returning Saiyans from times past. Not long ago, Toei Animation debuted a brand-new preview for the upcoming 'Universal Survival' saga, and it showcased familiar faces like Vegeta and Goku. However, there were some other Saiyans present from other universes, and everyone's favorite mini-Saiyan Cabba showed up in force.
In the new trailer, Cabba is the starring hero who gets to kick-off the clip. The video starts with Cabba going Super Saiyan in his familiar white-and-purple plate armor. With his hair slicked back, Cabba can be seen mustering up plenty of kai energy and bursting into his Super Saiyan transformation with ease.
Of course, fans of Dragon Ball Super will be familiar with the pipsqueak. The humble hero hails from Universe 6, and he didn't seem to be much of a threat to anyone at first. However, during the 'Universe 6' saga, Cabba did show his mean side. The young boy was pushed by Vegeta enough that his anger turned into power, and the unassuming boy stunned fans with his Super Saiyan gifts. But, of course, his power did little to stop Vegeta when the princely Saiyan decided to get serious.
After the 'Universe 6' saga, Cabba took a break from Dragon Ball Superaside from a few filler episodes during the 'Future Trunks' arc. Now, it seems like the young Saiyan will make a comeback with all-new powers and team of warriors like Hit on his side.
Cabba will not the be only Saiyan showing up in Dragon Ball Super. The preview also showed a rather stunning image of a petite female transforming into what appeared to be the Legendary Super Saiyan state. Her final state was a familiar sight to many fans as it looked like a female version of Broly, and fans are both elated and confused by the character's appearance. After all, Broly has been a controversial character for years now as fans have questioned his canonical status. So, for now, it looks like fans will have to wait to find out if this mysterious fighter has any connection to the well-known movie star.
In February, Dragon Ball Super's story arc is set to kick off with the 'Universal Survival' saga. You can check out the brief synopsis for it below:
"At Goku's request, the Omni-Kings' "Tournament of Power" martial arts tournament between universes now begins! …But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction.
