Pokemon now has nearly a quarter-century of history, and looking back on the franchise there have been countless villains and characters. With the recent release of Pokemon Sun and Moon, many fans are now comparing new Pokemon and trainers to those from the past – and it has brought up a good question: How could anyone ever forget the group of bumbling baddies that was Team Rocket?
Team Rocket were the original villains in the anime and games, with the face of the team being Jessie, James and Meowth. Rocket’s main goal was to take over the world by using Pokemon. This is seen by their oath, “Steal Pokรฉmon for profit. Exploit Pokรฉmon for profit. All Pokรฉmon exist for the glory of Team Rocket.”

With so many new “kids these days,” how does the original and mostly loveable team feel about their successors? You don’t even need to imagine the group’s cranky response. The folks over at doormonster.tv have made a hillarious video titled Teams These Days that shows you instead.
The short opens with two retired Team Rocket members discussing the gold ole’ days over some drinks and slowpoke tail. They talk about how all the new villains are cheesy, silly, and even make fun of all the new team names. They also have an existential crisis over if they were really as great as they remember, and the video hits it stride when Team Skull comes in to swap some witty banter.
Team skull is the new villainous team from the Pokemon Sun and Moon Games. Unlikely Team Rocket, they do not have any specific goals other than causing chaos and trouble around the region. They are known for being fast talking rude grunts that cause trouble anywhere they go. They can be spotted by their matching skull hats, bandanas, and shirts
It is definitely a must-watch for Pokemon fans of all ages. What do you think of the new pokemon teams, do they even compare to Team Rocket?
