In the coming months, the anime world is going to be rocked by a slew of incoming series. Series like Attack on Titan and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will come on air at the start of April, but other anime titles will also make their debut in the spring. Once May rolls in, Yu-Gi-Oh! will get a new anime hot off the heels of its Arc-V title. And, now, fans have been given some major updates about the much-awaited show.

Over the weekend, the folks behind Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS gave fans plenty of new information about the franchise’s new anime venture. The card-based show will gets it premiere in just over a month, and the series will be animated by Studio Gallop. The company recently confirmed it had cast Ishige Shouya to voice the anime’s lead character, Fujiki Yusaku.
The studio also provided more information on the anime’s theme song. The opening track for Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS will be called “With the Wind” and be performed by ๅฏๆฐธTOMMYๅผๆ. The band has worked on other popular anime titles like JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Most importantly, the update on Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS came with a brand-new key visual. The poster shows the anime’s lead as he enters the virtual reality world of Duel monsters. Yusaku is show mid-transformation as the student ditched his real-world aesthetic for his gaming persona. Know as the “Playmaker,” the quiet lead sheds his meek personality for a bold offense, and the imposing Duel Monsters seen behind the hero also add to his intimidation factor.

“There is a city where network systems have evolved: Den City. In this city, with the advanced network technology developed by the corporation “SOL Technology,” a Virtual Reality space called “LINK VRAINS” has been developed, and in this VR Space people became excited over the latest way to Duel.
However, in LINK VRAINS, a mysterious hacker group that hacks via Dueling has appeared:The Knights of Hanoi. Their goal is to destroy the “AI World” known as “Cyberse” that exists somewhere in the depths of the Network.
However, there is one Duelist who stands against the threat to LINK VRAINS. His name is “Playmaker”. He has become famous in the Network World for crushing the “Knights of Hanoi” in fierce Duels without mentioning his name. But the true identity of “Playmaker” is ordinary high school student Fujiki Yusaku, who pursues the “Knights of Hanoi” that appear in VRAINS in order to find out the truth of an incident that happened in the past.”
As for the cast, Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS will be headed up by a team of anime veterans. Takahashi Kazuki created the original idea along with Studio Dice. Masahiro Hosoda will director, and fans will know the man his work on Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
