A new trailer for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum video game has been released on GameTrailers.com, featuring one of the Caped Crusader's most dangerous enemies, Bane. In the trailer, the villain Bane uses the drug Venom to change from a 100 pound weakling into a 350-plus pound monster. In his massive form, Bane gains the enormous strength that earned the villain a place in comic book history for breaking the back of the Bruce Wayne Batman and sidelining him for several months. The trailer is sure to drive fans, who have been hoping that Bane would play a large part in Arkham Asylum, wild. About a month ago, MTV and many other websites mentioned that the villain would appear in the game, based on a demo released by the game's designer, Rocksteady Studios. Speculation as to how big a role the strongman would play was mixed. With the new trailer, it appears that Bane's role will be huge. Batman: Arkham Asylum hits stores on June 9th, with story bible by Batman: The Animated Series' Paul Dini. Adding to the hype behind the game is the fact that several stars will reprise the roles they made famous on Batman: TAS, including Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker. No word as of yet if Henry Silva will reprise his role as the voice of Bane.
