The Ultimate Marvel Marathon, a six-movie, all-day marathon that screens every Marvel Studios movie released since Iron Man at select AMC Theatres locations around the country, announced the remaining participants this afternoon and expanded from six cities to 30, including 29 US cities and Toronto. The number of theatres that could participate was likely limited somewhat, as it would be for smaller theatres either to accommodate likely demand or to set aside an entire day on a 3D-enabled screen. The marathon--which will feature Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: the First Avenger and The Avengers--will play in more than fifty theatres in 21 states, plus Washington, DC and the aforementioned engagement in Toronto. Full details on locations and ticket sales can be found at the event's website. For $40, fans will not only get a ticket good for all five existing Marvel movies and a midnight screening of The Avengers but also a free pair of the Avengers-branded RealD 3D glasses that AMC and Disney announced earlier this week would be released in conjunction with the film's May 4 release. Four of the six movies being screened at the Ultimate Marvel Marathon will be in 3D (everything after The Incredible Hulk).
