Mallrats Reunion Breaks Out AT MMA Fight

How's about a big hug for your old pal Merle? Michael Rooker, who plays Merle Dixon on The Walking Dead, attended the Bellator MMA, which aired on Spike last night. While at the mixed martial arts fight, Michael Rooker ran into Comic Book Men's Kevin Smith, who also had Jason Mewes with him. Rooker snapped a couple of photos of the three together, which he shared via Twitter. Michael Rooker tweeted, "Look who I found at the fights tonight." And Kevin Smith tweeted back, "Excellent seeing you again, Rook!" Of course, besides both being part of hit AMC television shows, there's another reason that Michael Rooker and Kevin Smith know each other. Michael Rooker played Jared Svenning in Mallrats, which was written and directed by Kevin Smith and also starred Jason Mewes.
