VERONICA-MARS

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have released the first two minutes of next month's Veronica Mars, which will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, streaming video services, video on demand and in select theaters on March 14. The film, which was funded by more than $5 million generated during the course of a Kickstarter campaign, will be directed by Rob Thomas, who created the long-cancelled TV series upon which it's based and who is currently at work on a pilot for The CW based on Chris Roberson and Mike Allred's Vertigo series iZombie. This is the closest we'll come to "Previously on Veronica Mars...," considering the TV series hasn't been on the air in nearly a decade; in these first two minutes, you get basically everything you need to know in order to have a functional understanding of the lead character and where she came from, even if it doesn't help you on some of the more salient questions raised by the nine years since she last solved a mystery in Neptune... The film reteams Frozen star Kristen Bell with the cast of the original TV series, including Percy Daggs II, Tina Majorino, Enrico Colantoni and Jason Dohring. Joining the cast for the film is Jerry O'Connell, with cameo appearances by James Franco and more.
