Egghead, the supervillain played by Vincent Price in the 1966 Batman TV series, will be one of the characters available as an action figure from the forthcoming line of Mattel toys.The line, along with clothing and other merchandising related to Batman 1966, represent the first time in decades that the series has been licensed. It’s never been released on DVD due to rights conflicts between 20th Century Fox, who produced the series, and Warner Bros., who own DC Entertainment and, by extension, Batman.likeness rights don’t seem to be an issue, though, as Hollywood icon Price joins Cesar Romero, Burt Ward and other stars of the series whose looks are being faithfully translated to action figures that look more like the actors than any comics adaptation of the characters.Particularly the Joker’s mustache.The image at left, a prototype sculpt of the heads for the Joker and Egghead action figures, comes from the Figures Toy Company Facebook page.
