For years, Bette Midler has been very vocal about wanting to make a sequel to 1993’s Hocus Pocus, but Disney has made no effort to make that a reality. Even her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have expressed interest in reprising their witchy roles.

On Tuesday, Midler conducted a question and answer session with her fans on Facebook and she was asked if a Hocus Pocus sequel was going to happen. Midler replied, “After all these years and all the fan demand, I do believe I can stand and firmly say an unequivocal no.”

Hocus Pocus wasn’t a box office success. It cost $28M to produce and grossed $39.5M at the worldwide box office. However, the film found success on the small screen and through DVD sales. Each October, it brings in $1M a year in DVD sales and a 2011 broadcast had a whopping 2.8 million viewers.
