A graphic artist just created a super detailed replica of the ancient weapon of the Jedi Order. Artist Martin Beyer of Graflex Sabers recently posted a video showing off a replica of Luke Skywalker’s classic blue lightsaber he recently built by hand.

The lightsaber replica contains a crystal chamber with a LED-lit quartz crystal, which can be removed and worn as a pendant. It also includes a detachable tube meant to replicate the lightsaber blade. The lightsaber also makes the classic lightsaber sounds when it touches another object, thanks to a soundboard enclosed within the device.
Beyer’s lightsaber is a close replica of Luke Skywalker’s original lightsaber. The lightsaber originally belonged to his father Anakin before his turn to the Dark Side. While Luke lost the lightsaber during his battle with Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back, the weapon recently resurfaced in The Force Awakens and was used by both Finn and Rey against Kylo Ren and the First Order.
While this particular lightsaber replica is a prototype and not for sale, Beyer plans on putting future replicas up for sale on eBay for an undetermined price.Per Beyer’s Facebook page, each lightsaber takes 4-8 weeks to complete.
