Starting Friday, Disney is hosting their big D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

Disney, the brand in charge of Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm, may have some huge tricks up their sleeve to counteract Warner Brothers and DC’s powerful San Diego Comic Con panels. But what exactly are we expecting from Disney’s D23 Expo? Or – better yet – what are we really hoping to see?

Let’s take a look.

Finding Dory

ย

It’s not all super heroes and intergalactic wars at Disney, so before we get into that, let’s rememberย Disney’s original properties.ย

Among the possibilities for trailers or previews at the D23 Expo are The Jungle Book, Zootopia, The Rock’s Moana, Alice Through The Looking Glass, and a handful of others.

However, Finding Dory stands the tallest among Disney’s offeringย for trailers we want to see. All too often, sequels come along and drown their predecessor, but Finding Dory may surface and offer a sweet, reminiscent memory of 2003’sย Finding Nemo while allowing today’s kids to dive into a whole new journey.

We want a look atย Finding Dory.

Now, let’s get to the real reason we’re here…

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It would be shocking if Disney didn’t talk about their biggest movie of 2015, and no, it’s not Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has a story that’s still a tightly-kept secret, so far, and will relaunchย the world’s most epic movie franchise. The two previous trailers have not offered much insight into what’s going on in the galaxy far, far away and on top of that, Disney and Episode VII director J.J. Abramsย elected not to show a new trailer last month during San Diego Comic Con. Instead, they offered all of Hall H a Star Wars concert, which was awesome.

Photosย were released earlier this week and J.J. Abramsย announced there will be no new footage or trailers shown at D23. They are obviously hard at work and want to keep everything a surprise, but we want more!

We’ll take any bit of information, images, or news about Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Captain America: Civil War

ย

It’s impossible not to be pumped for Captain America: Civil War.

Not a single drop of footage for the film has leaked, zeroย trailers have been released, and the cast has, for the most part, been pretty quiet about any details. So here we are, hungry for any bits of Civil War we can get.

We want a Captain America: Civil War trailer really, really badly. Oh, “The movie is still 10 months away,” you say? Batman v. Superman‘s first trailer was released a full year ahead of its release date, so the hype train for Civil War is more than ready to leave the station, and we are all aboard.ย

Spider-Man’s Costume

ย

Lots of talk of Spider-Man’s costume has been buzzing around the web this week. Talk of a classicย blue and red suit, talk of multiple suits

So show us Spider-Man’s suit, already.

It would be great to see a Captain America: Civil War sequenceย of Tom Holland as Spider-Man in the aforementioned trailer, but we’ll settle for a glimpse of the wall crawler’s costume. Perhaps Tom Holland will even speak about the role at D23, which would be the first time since he was cast as Spidey.

Doctor Strange

Test-footage of Doctor Strange would be magical. We all remember the reaction to Ant-Man’s San Diego Comic Con test footage in 2013, and it was great.

But really, we would be perfectly content with just a first look at Benedict Cumberbatchย as Stephenย Strange.

Be it concept art, a still photo, or a promotional image – any look at Cumberbatchย in costume for Marvel’sย next origin story would scratch our itch for new Marvel Studios content. Stephen Strange, show us your face!
