director Josh Trank has once again taken to Twitter to deny casting rumors surrounding his upcoming blockbuster.Of course, the first time he did that, it was to deny Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic–a story that appears to be either true, or at least an incredibly resilient falsehood, as everyone including Teller seem to be fairly convinced it will happen.The filmmaker also went on Twitter last week to deny a month-old plot summary of the film that appeared on a casting website.This time, it’s yesterday’s reports that Josh Gad would star as Ben Grimm, better known as the ever-loving, blue-eyed Thing, in the Fox/Marvel franchise reboot. There’s very little ambiguity here, though, and given the fact that Gad’s casting made a lot less sense than did Teller’s, it’s likely this denial will be believed, provided nothing else comes up to say the original report is accurate.Responding to a tweet from Badass Digest’s Devin Faraci, in which the writer said that casting Gad would be a blow to his confidence in the film, Trank responded:
@devincf first i’m hearing of this… it’s not true.
