Proving that there’s no hard feelings between orange comic strip cats, Garfield (star of Jim Davis’s long-running strip of the same name) made a one-panel cameo in today’s installment of Bloom County.
He was apparently a “celebrity volunteer,” who was dressed in a helmet with toilet plungers attached to be hurled at a giant bull’s eye for “Cat Twizzlin.” It’s not clear what that is (in the strip where it was introduced, the caption said not to ask), but Bill the Cat was dressed to do the same thing.

As one commenter pointed out, maybe Garfield hates Mondays for a reason if this is how celebrities are treated.
Bloom County returned as a webcomic, with creator Berkeley Breathed creating new installments of the beloved series for the first time in 25 years, back in July. The first new Bloom County debuted the weekend of Comic-Con International: San Diego. After being exclusively released on Breathed’s Facebook for a while, it’s been picked up for online syndication on GoComics. Breathed told a commenter on Facebook last week that a Bill the Cat children’s book is being prepared for a Fall 2016 release.
