While Chris Pratt seems pretty humbled by the idea of sharing the screen with members of The Avengers cast, James Gunn revealed some grander plans that Pratt shared with him.
“I’m not joking when I say I spent the whole day in the car yesterday with Chris Pratt, and he was begging me to shoot Tony Stark in the face and kill him,” said Gunn. “I don’t think that’s a likely scenario, but I know that he really wants to kill Tony Stark. I don’t know how this would come about, I don’t see it having a great likelihood of occurring, but that’s what Chris Pratt would like to have happen.”
The entire Guardians of the Galaxy cast also seems pretty confident in the Guardians’ ability to take the Avengers in a fight. Maybe we’ll get to see that showdown at some point, as Thanos, who first appeared in the Avengers and will make his second appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy, is widely expected to be the villain of Avengers 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1.
