There were rumors a few months back that Daniel Craig spent some time on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with some saying he even suited up as a stormtrooper in the film. According to EW, he did just that, playing a fairly prominent one, in fact.

Citing multiple – but anonymous – sources, they say that Craig was a stormtrooper during a particular scene. SPOILERS FOLLOW.

The cameo, according to the report, featured Craig as the stormtrooper who interacts directly with Rey, as played by Daisy Ridley, when she’s captured by the First Order.

Until it’s explicitly confirmed by Lucasfilm, we’d advise a little caution, though. The voices of many of the stormtroopers are in fact Star Wars: The Clone Wars and LucasArts alums, as David Collins revealed. In his screenshot of the credits, you can also pick out names like Dee Bradley Baker, Dave Filoni, Tom Kane, Matthew Lanter, Meredith Salenger, and more. Those confirmed cameos can be picked out throughout the film by fans with good ears. It’s quite possible that while Craig may have physically played that stormtrooper, one of these professional voice actors performed the lines. It sure sounded like one of them to this Clone Wars fan.

Time to go watch The Force Awakens again and try to listen for more of these cameos.
