With more than seven films, there are plenty of moments in the Harry Potter franchise for fans to claim as their favorite. Some may find the scene where Harry Potter enters the Great Hall at Hogwarts for the first time to be one of the best. Others may find the iconic wand vigil scene from Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Prince to be the most touching. But, when it comes to JK Rowling, one of her favorite scenes from the series is a more subtle affair.

Earlier today, JK Rowling revealed one of her favorite Harry Potter moments during a Twitter exchange with Lin-Manuel Miranda. The latter actor tweeted at the British author, saying that his favorite moment from Harry Potter takes place in the sixth film. The moment sees the young wizard promising to get Professor Dumbledore back to Hogwarts after they destroyed one of Lord Voledmort’s Horcruxes, and the wise wizard has no doubt Harry will.
“I am not worried, Harry,” Dumbledore says. “I am with you.”
Not long afterwards, Rowling responded to the musical actor and admitted the scene was one of her favorites as well. “Cannot tell you what this means (from you), because this moment is one of my very favourites. Always feel HBP gets overshadowed by DHโฆ” she said.
Of course, the scene is a rather poignant one given the pair and their rather complicated relationship. Dumbledore and Harry met when the latter was just a baby, but Harry really only knew the man once he entered Hogwarts. The elder wizard was the Headmaster of the magical school, and Dumbledore was instrumental in helping Harry realize his full potential since he knew a war was brewing.
By the time Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince debuted, the two shared a close relationship since Dumbledore had mentored Harry for so long. The book saw the older man gradually growing ill, and his health declined even further when Dumbledore went to an isolated cave to retrieve one of Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes. The duo managed to destroy the item after a brief run-in with Inferi, but Harry was desperate to get his mentor back to Hogwarts alive.
When Harry promises he will get Dumbledore back home, the latter replies with a touching answer: “I am not worried, Harry. I am with you.”

Shortly afterwards, Dumbledore would finally pass away after Severus Snape apparently betrayed him with an Avada Kedavra curse. The words he spoke to Harry at the seaside cave were one of his last, and Harry felt them keenly once Dumbledore had died, leaving Harry to take on Voldemort once and for all.
