This time around the focus will not be on a particular book in the Jack Ryan saga, but rather will center around a Ryan early in his career with the CIA. The show will use the books as source material, though, and Clancy fans know there is a lot to pull from.
Krasinski definitely has the temperament to pull off the role, and will be the fifth actor to play the character, which includes Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck, and most recently Chris Pine. All of them brought something to the role, but hopefully, this is the one that sticks.
