As a result, and following on the heels of the massive success of some of some recent high-profile hardcover collections celebrating Marvel’s history, the comics publisher will release King-Size Kirby next summer, an anthology collecting dozens of stories from throughout Jack Kirby’s decades-long career at Marvel.

Weighing in at more than 800 pages, the foot-tall book will be printed in Marvel’s Adamantium-sized format and features work from Kirby’s western, war, mystery and romance eras in addition to his superhero work.
“Fans should reinforce their bookshelves and coffee tables,” joked Marvel SVP Sales & Marketing David Gabriel. “This one is going to be huge – literally! We’re aiming to bring fans the ultimate collection, the ultimate collectable and the definitive Jack Kirby experience. The King of Comics deserves no less.”
