Earlier today, the very first trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets was released. The feature film adaptation of Jean-Claude Mezieres and Pierre Christin’s Valerian and Laureline comic book series is being directed by The Fifth Element-and-Lucy-helmer, Luc Besson, and stars Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad).
Now, EuropaCorp and Fundamental Films have released a trio of stills featuring the the city of Alpha, the commerce center known as Big Market, and the alien race known as Kortan Dahuk. Check out the images in our gallery at the bottom of the page and their caption directly below.

Organized by the quest for harmony and beauty, they are a well-traveled race with great experience and interaction with other species. Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. But his extensive history with women, and her traditional values, drive Laureline to continuously rebuff him.
Under directive from their Commander (Clive Owen), Valerian and Laureline embark on a mission to the breathtaking intergalactic city of Alpha, an ever-expanding metropolis comprised of thousands of different species from all four corners of the universe.
