Wesley Snipes May Sharpen His Blades for an Upcoming Marvel Project

While promoting his new NBC series, The Player, actor Wesley Snipes dropped the bomb that he and Marvel Studios had discussed Snipes reprising his role as Blade in an undisclosed Marvel project. Snipes appeared as Marvel’s vampire hunter in three Blade movies, and the actor confirmed that he and Marvel discussed a possible Blade 4 sequel.Still, the actor stated that nothing was definite yet, but he expressed his hopes in appearing in returning to the Marvel fold.

Geoff Johns and Ben Affleck May Be The Solo Batman Movie’s Dynamic Duo

A rumor broke yesterday that Ben Affleck and DC Comics superstar Geoff Johns were teaming up to write a solo Batman film, which would be released in 2018.In addition to co-writing the script, Affleck would also direct the movie, which would tie into DC’s growing cinematic universe.Affleck’s a talented director, with one Academy Award nomination under his belt, and Johns is one of DC’s biggest comic book stars of the last 15 or so years.I bet we’ll hear more about the film this weekend when DC has its big movie panel.

The TARDIS Lands For Doctor Who

September 19th.That’s when our favorite Gallifrean returns with all new adventures.BBC aired a 90 second teaser for the upcoming season, which showed both bizarre new villains and old classics like the Daleks.The Doctor had a busy day yesterday, as Lego Dimensions showed its first glimpse of the Doctor Who playset that will allow players to use the Doctor in the upcoming Skylanders/Amiibo like game.

DC Pencils in Details on Frank Miller’s Dark Knight book.

Earlier this year, DC announced a new sequel to Frank Miller’s seminal The Dark Knights Returns miniseries entitled The Master Race.Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice draws heavily upon The Dark Knights Returns story and The Master Race is sure to be a big seller in both comic stores and traditional bookstores. Today, DC announced that Andy Kubert and Klaus Jenson would be joining the creative team as penciller and inker respectively.DC also announced that The Master Race will be released over eight issues, with a 32 page main story and a 16 page back up story with rotating casts.

G.I. Joe and Street Fighter: Star-Crossed Lovers In 2016.

IDW announced a surprise crossover on Thursday when they announced a six issue crossover featuring the characters from Street Fighter and GI Joe.The series will feature heroes from both universes trying to stop the combined forces of Cobra and Shadaloo.We’ll also see fights between classic characters like M. Bison and Cobra Commander and Vega and Storm Shadow.
