Deadline is reporting that Shartlo Copley and Michelle Forbes have both been cast in the upcoming PlayStation Network television adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s comic book series, Powers.

Copley will play series lead Christian Walker, a homicide detective assigned to a beat involving the investigation of crimes involving superheroes and villains. Copley’s previous work includes Disney’s recent Sleeping Beauty reimagining, Maleficent, and the film adaptation of the manga Oldboy, but his breakout role was as Wilkus Van De Merwe in Neill Blomkamp’s District 9.
Powers is expected to premiere on the PlayStation Network in December.
