Maybe if Fox wanted to get the coveted Stan Lee seal of approval, they should have brought the X-Men co-creator in for a cameo appearance in the recently-released X-Men: Days of Future Past. With the film entering its second week at the U.S. box office and about to take the #2 slot to Disney’s Maleficent, its domestic total is actually better than Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s was at the same period in its release, setting the film up to potentially be the top-grossing film of the year. They go back to the box office, buy another ticket, becuase they don’t want to have missed it! So half of the money that was made is from fans not wanting to miss my cameo. It’s great.”The film did feature cameos by X-Men great Chris Claremont (who wrote the story upon which it was base) as well as Wolverine co-creator Len Wein. “Days of Future Past” artist John Byrne was not asked, and says he would not have accepted if he had been.
