12 Monkeys, one of the first big hits of the new era of Syfy as it tries to get back to its science-fiction roots, returns for season two on Monday, April 18 at 9pm. The season will be 13 episodes, with Aaron Stanford, Amanda Schull, Kirk Acevedo, Emily Hapmshire, and Barbara Sukowa returning. Todd Stashwick is back as well, upgraded to full-time cast member after a recurring guest spot last season. The time travel show will feature more than ever, with new teams of travelers hopping through decades to try to stop the Army of the 12 Monkeys.
The show will be joined on Monday nights by Hunters, a new series that will debut the week before, Monday April 11 at 10pm. The series follows FBI agent Flynn Carroll (Nathan Phillips), who joins the Exo-Terrorism Unit, a group that “tracks and fights alien terrorists.” Julian McMahon sticks around Syfy after co-starring in Childhood’s End, playing a “dangerously unhinged terrorist” named McCarthy – wait, does that mean he’s an alien terrorist? We’ll find out in April.
