The Pixar Theory

In July 2013, a Pixar fan named Jon Negroni posted a blog post that explained his theory that all Pixar movies actually exist in the same world, on the same timeline. A theory which was inspired an episode of Cracked’s comedy series, After Hours.

Bloop Animation has now posted a YouTube video summarizing that theory, with footage from Pixar films included. The basic gist is that the little girl from Monsters time travels into the far past of Brave and creates a race of sentient, intelligent animals that have a love-hate relationship with humanity, as do the sentient toys and machines, that propels every Pixar movie.

Of course, like most fan theories, the video makes a lot of assumptions and logical jumps that aren’t present in the actual films themselves, but if you’re the type of fan who used to enjoy trying to piece together the Legend of Zelda timeline before Nintendo canonized it, then this is probably something you’ll enjoy.
