For the next three months, customers who purchase any Oren’s coffee or tea beverage will also receive a Valiant-branded java jacket redeemable at any of Midtown Comics’s three Manhattan locations – Midtown Times Square, Midtown Grand Central, and Midtown Downtown – for a free, collectible Valiant comic book while supplies last. You can also present a Valiant comic book at any Oren’s location to receive 10% off your next Oren’s purchase.

“As one of New York’s preeminent comic book publishers, it is Valiant’s distinct pleasure to partner with two fellow independent, local businesses for a partnership that engages all of our fans and customers,” said Russell A. Brown, Valiant’s President of Consumer Products, Promotions, and Ad Sales. “It was a Valiant supporter within Oren’s that first brought this idea to our attention, and, with the major marquee locations of both Oren’s and Midtown just two blocks from one another in the heart of Times Square, this a perfect opportunity to bring even more new fans of X-O Manowar and the entire Valiant Universe into the fold.”

“There is nothing I like more than working with quality, like-minded New York companies providing great products in the greatest city on Earth,” said Oren Bloostein, founder and roastmaster of Oren’s Daily Roast. “And to celebrate this promotion, we created the X-O Manowar Green Tea Blast, perfect for quenching your summer thirst!”

Abducted from his own time by a vicious alien race, Visigoth warrior called Aric of Dacia spent years in slavery among the stars before escaping with his captors’ most feared weapon – the X-O Manowar armor. Now, stranded in the modern day, the world’s most primitive man also just happens to wield its most powerful weapon and serves the United States government as X-O Manowar.

Since debuting in 1992, the character has starred in more than 120 issues of his own self-titles series, sold more than 8 million comic books, and spawned toys, merchandise, and a video game crossover with Marvel Entertainment’s Iron Man.

Recently relaunched with a new series by New York Times best-selling writer Robert Venditti and Eisner Award-winning artist Cary Nord, X-O Manowar recently returned to the fore as one of the most acclaimed ongoing series in comics today. Beginning on June 11th, X-O Manowar will anchor Valiant’s major summer 2014 crossover event Armor Hunters, as a team of extraterrestrial hunter-killers invade Earth in pursuit of his armor.
