Anyone can fight, and some possess the strength to become a warrior. Many though cannot dream of being a Shirtless Bear-Fighter, and for those who can a “nude” variant cover is only fitting.

Image Comics is introducing a new sort of hero thanks to writers Jody LeHeup (Uncanny X-Force, Deadpool, Quantum and Woody) and Sebastian Girner (Southern Bastards, Deadly Class, Black Science). To celebrate the first issue is getting a limited nude variant, which does fit in with his whole “shirtless fighter” motif. Well, that’s incorrect, as it’s actually a “beariant” cover, brought to life by artist Nil Vendrell, colorist Mike Spicer (Head Lopper, Mythic), and letterer Dave Lanphear.
A new preview of the issue shows Shirtless doing what he does best, punching angry evil bears and being relatively angry in general. You would thinik the whole shirtless thing would be more freeing, aleivating some of the stress, but the job seems to wear on him anyway. At least he can say he has a bear plane and you don’t, so that’s something right?
