The Green Lantern Corps of DC Comics is one of the greatest peacekeeping forces in the universe. To become a member and be worthy of a Green Lantern Ring, a person must possess great willpower and the ability to overcome great fear. By channeling their willpower through their rings, Green Lanterns can create anything they can imagine. And the stronger their will, the stronger their constructs become. Countless individuals across the DC Universe have been chosen for Green Lantern rings based on their determination and drive to fight for justice. Applying this same standard, there are plenty of characters from Marvel Comics that fill the qualifications needed to join the Green Lantern Corps.

This list will cover the heroes of Marvel Comics whose drive to persevere in the face of insurmountable odds would make them welcome additions to the Green Lantern Corps (if they existed in the same universe).
5) Captain America

Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, has proven time and again that he will always fight for whatโs right, no matter the odds. He was selected for the super soldier program because of his determination to fight for his country, despite his frail body. His natural leadership skills and bravery have allowed him to fight on the front lines of World War II. His willpower never faltered, even after awakening from decades of being trapped in ice and finding everyone he loved gone. He kept moving forward, fighting as a symbol of the best of American values. Armed with only a shield, he faced off against the Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Thanos, who had just massacred Steveโs entire team. Steve has already famously proven himself worthy of Thorโs hammer, so donning a Green Lantern Ring wouldnโt be too much of a stretch
4) Cyclops

The field leader of the X-Men, Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, is defined by his unbreakable willpower and unwavering drive to defend mutantkind. For almost his entire life, Scott has had to carry the weight and responsibility of both controlling his unstable powers and leading the X-Men through perilous missions. He has led the X-Men on missions that took them from the far reaches of outer space to the prehistoric Savage Land.
His rigid discipline and tactical mind have proven time and again to be his greatest assets when fighting all-powerful threats like Magneto and Apocalypse. Scottโs dedication to the preservation and prosperity of mutantkind is so great that he has died several times to ensure their survival. Scott never gives up on the X-Men mission to fight for a better tomorrow for all mutantkind, and itโs that drive that would make him an excellent choice to join the Green Lantern Corps.
3) Iron Man

Unlike the other heroes on this list, Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, has already proven himself to be worthy of a Green Lantern Ring. In the DC/Marvel Crossover Amalgam Comics, Iron Man and Green Lantern were fused to become the Iron Lantern. The connections between the two characters are evident, as they both utilize their willpower and ingenuity to craft powerful tools to combat evil. Tonyโs origin also further cements why he would be worthy of a Green Lantern Ring.
After a mine launched a piece of shrapnel near Tonyโs heart and terrorists captured him, he never gave up on trying to find a way to escape. Tony built a pacemaker-like device to keep his heart beating and a fully functional suit of armor to break out of his imprisonment. He constructed all of this, with nothing but a pile of scraps in a cave. With his ability to face impossible odds and his technological creativity, Tony would be a master at creating powerful constructs with a Green Lantern Ring.
2) Daredevil

Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, is literally known as the โMan Without Fear.โ Despite his lack of sight, he always charges headfirst into danger. He has defeated some of the deadliest supervillains and crime lords in Hellโs Kitchen. Mattโs mental fortitude is astounding, and he has consistently demonstrated his ability to overcome great fear. He has suffered from incredible losses, including the deaths of two girlfriends at the hands of the villain Bullseye. Still, Matt keeps moving forward, always willing to step up to be Hellโs Kitchenโs protector. Matt wouldnโt be the first blind Green Lantern — the alien Rot Lop Fan lacks sight yet serves as a skilled member of the Corps. With his refusal to let fear control his life, Matt would be more than worthy of harnessing the power of a Green Lantern Ring.
1) Spider-Man

The essence of Peter Parkerโs character, aka Spider-Man, is that, no matter how many times life (and villains) beats him down, he always gets back up. Peter is well-known for his life being in a perpetual state of turmoil. Heโs lost loved ones, been tortured physically and psychologically, and has faced off against entities that threaten the entire Multiverse. Still, he never allows his fears or hardships to stop him from doing whatโs right. He has fought and defeated nigh-unstoppable threats like the Juggernaut and Morlun through sheer willpower and ingenuity.
As long as people need Spider-Man, Peter will always swing into action without a momentโs hesitation. Spider-Manโs unwavering sense of responsibility and his willpower in the face of impossible challenges make him the perfect candidate to join the Green Lantern Corps.
