Jaden Smith makes headlines for his… unique behavior, personal views, and fashion choices, but today he’ll make news for donning the iconic costume of Batman for a new music video titled, appropriately enough, “Batman.” Watch it above!
In the video, we see Jaden (or “Mr. Bruce Wayne” in the video) pretty much living the rock star life, until he is called into more nobler action as Batman. The actor/singer/son of Will Smith dons the same White Batman costume that he wore to his high school prom, as he rolls around Los Angeles at daybreak and nightfall.

Among his “heroic acts” is burning money, and strolling Hollywood Boulevard, interacted with street performers also dressed as iconic superhero characters (Superman, Spider-Man, classic black costume Batman…). In the end, though, the act of being a superhero seems to be too heavy of a burden for Jaden, who ends his superhero shift feeling o’ so many feels.
This video is probably going to be a lightning rod for Batman fans – or those who simply love to criticize young Mr. Smith. It seems unlikely that the Trip-hop track is going to blow up into the next big pop-culture phenomenon – but hey, who knows? These days, the kids are into much stranger things (pun).
