After making her way from Themyscira to the modern world, it looks like Gal Gadot will be taking a brief vacation in the town of Springfield.

The Wonder Woman and Justice League star recently revealed that she would be appearing as herself on the long-running animated series The Simpsons. Gadot took to social media with a short video of her signing a poster for the series, which seems to contain other signatures of guest starts from the season.

There's no word yet on when the episode will air, but the series' 29th season will return from hits winter hiatus on March 11th.

The Wonder Woman star adds to an already impressive list of guest actors who have lent their voice to the latest season of The Simpsons including Martin Short, Neil Gaiman, Kat Dennings, and Shaquille O'Neal.

While we don't know the plot to the upcoming episode, the appearance further solidifies Gadot's standing as a bonafide superstar. Ever since her first turn as Diana of the Amazons in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Gadot's profile has steadily increased. And as the star of the most popular movie of the 2017 summer season, she's become one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.

Gadot will begin working on Wonder Woman II this summer, reteaming with director Patty Jenkins for the sequel. With Diana's origin as a superhero out of the way, Gadot previously said that she's excited to explore new territory with the character.

"Other than the wonderful work Lynda Carter did in the TV show, this character was never really told on the big screen," Gadot said to EW. "We just see her origin story. But there's so much to explore with this character who has 75 years of legacy, there's so much material and so many ways and I'm psyched about it."

Wonder Woman II is rumored to take place during the Cold War, making the upcoming superhero movie yet another period piece. There's no word yet on the film's plot, which actors are returning, and who the villain might be, but as shooting gets ready to pick up in the coming months, fans can expect to learn a bit more about the movie soon.

Wonder Woman II is scheduled to premiere on December 1st, 2019.
