The DC vs Marvel movie rivalry is real, and it's only going to get realer than when Zack Snyder's Justice League hits theaters this fall. That film won't just be the milestone team-up of major DC Comics superheroes like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Flash - it will also be the milestone that allows DC and Marvel fans to finally compare their respective team-up film events, and the impact they both had.

When it comes to Justice League and Marvel's The Avengers there have been debates all along about which film will ultimately be viewed as the greater one. What fans of both camps probably didn't expect was to hear a Justice League cast member openly admit that Marvel's film will be the better one - before Justice League has even hit theaters!

However, that's exactly what actress Diane Lane did while on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen recently. When asked point-blank if she could reveal Justice League spoilers, and if the film will be better than Avengers, Lane replied: "No, and no. Short but honest - I hate to disappoint, but..."

The next answer didn't get any less awkward, as she also admitted that it's sometimes weird playing the mother of hot and hunky Superman, Henry Cavill.

So, if DC fans were hoping for big win with Justice League, maybe it's time to start readjusting those hopes? Or was that just the sharp response of an actress frustrated with answering DC movie spoiler questions? You decide...

More Justice League

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, based on a story by Snyder and Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League opens in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
