Another Look At The New Poison Ivy In Gotham Season 3

When the young Ivy Pepper runs afoul of one of the monsters on the loose in Gotham early this season, she'll be growing up suddenly, as previously reported. Now we have the first image of Maggie Geha fresh out of the 'ole suddenly-aging event; as indicated by her clothing (the then-oversized shirt Ivy liked to wear as a wee thing played by Clare Foley now fits). Appropriately, for fans of the comic book character, she's also touching plants.
Producer John Stephens hopes it isn't too jarring for fans, and seems to think it won't be. "Maggie really seems like Clare. She is playing the same intonations and rhythms," he told TV Insider with the release of the image. "It's great." Stephens also further explained that the particular monster has the ability to age people to death, but didn't "complete the process" with Ivy.
The new, older Poison Ivy might be starting to use the feminine wiles she's known for in the pages of DC Comics, but don't expect her to start growing giant venus flytraps with a wave of her hands anytime soon - the aging affect hit, but she hasn't had any other life-changing accidents just yet, so she won't have any control of plants here. No telling whether she'll already be talking to plants yet or not, just know that they won't be "talking" back. Take a look at both full-size images of Ivy officially released by FOX so far in the gallery below.
Gotham returns Monday, September 19, 2016 at 8pm on FOX.
