It’s still going to be a couple of years before Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson debuts in the DCEU as Black Adam, but he’s going all in on the budding franchise.

Last week, Johnson and his producers met with DC executives about the Shazam movie he’s slated to star in, as well as the entire DC universe going forward. Everyone involved with the meetings – including The Rock himself – took to Twitter to share their excitement about the future.
Glad to have you in the club, my friend! https://t.co/Fz2DE2ZlX6

It looks like the execs weren’t the only ones who are glad to have Johnson on board. Aquaman director James Wan has now officially welcomed The Rock into the DC Family, and the two exchanged some kind words on social media.
Quoting Johnson’s tweet about the DC meeting, Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7) stated that he was glad to have the actor join ‘the club’. The two previously worked together on the set of Furious 7, where Wan served as director and Johnson starred.
Not too long after, The Rock responded to Wan, greeting him with equally as complimentary words.
Johnson first said Wan was one of his favorite directors to work with, and thanked him for the message. He then stated that he couldn’t wait for Wan and Jason Momoa to bring Aquaman to the world. That compliment alone is great news on the production of the project, and helps make fans rest a little easier.
One of my fav directors to work with. Thank you brotha. Can’t wait for you and Mamoa to deliver #Aquaman to the world. #DCEU #TheClub https://t.co/Jf3apFjbCK

At the end of the tweet, Johnson repeated the statement by James Wan, calling themselves ‘The Club’. As more filmmakers are introduced to the DC Extended Universe, you can be sure we’re going to be hearing a lot more of this phrase.
