Arrow Season 5 Premiere Ratings Released

Last October, The CW's Arrow opened its fourth season with 2.67 million viewers; however, on Wednesday, only 1.9 million viewers tuned-in for the show's fifth season premiere, which is a drop of 29%, and it pulled in a paltry 0.7 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, which is a decline of 36 percent from a year ago.

Arrow poor debut did little to help the debut of The CW's newest show Frequency, which pulled in a 0.4 rating and 1.4 million viewers. For the night, The CW finished in seventh-place with a 0.5 rating and 1.6 million viewers.

As for Arrow's competition, ABC's half-hour comedy The Goldbergs began the session with a 1.8 rating and 6.3 million viewers and Speechless followed with a 1.8 rating and 6.1 million viewers, CBS' Survivor drew a 1.8 rating and 8.5 million viewers, Fox's Lethal Weapon received a 1.7 rating and 6.5 million viewers, and NBC's Blindspot got a 1.3 rating and 5.6 million viewers.

SUIT UP — Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow's training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver's initiation into the Bratva continues.
