New ‘Arrow’ Midseason Finale Photos Showcase Spoiler’s Return

The CW had released new photos for “Irreconcilable Differences,” the upcoming midseason finale of Arrow‘s sixths season.

After saving Earth-1 from the Nazi invaders of Earth-X and having an impromptu wedding once the threat was over, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Stephen Amell,) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickard) return home to Star City for a proper celebration of their nuptials with their family and friends and, as you can see in the photos in our gallery, among those celebrating the happy couple are none other than Thea Queen (Willa Holland.)

Fans might remember that in the episode “Thanksgiving,” Thea woke from the coma she had been in since the events during last season’s finale on Lian Yu. Thea being back and out of the hospital will be a welcome turn of events for Oliver as he has long relied on his sister for emotional support, something that he will need now more than ever. He may have helped defeat Nazis, but now he has to turn his focus to defeating the charges brought against him by the FBI. And as we’ve seen in a promo for the upcoming midseason finale, defeating those charges is going to be even harder now that a member of Team Arrow is set to betray them all by testifying against Oliver.

Of course, it’s not just the unexpected betrayal that Oliver and the team will have to face. Things don’t go particularly well for the vigilante out in the field and that couldn’t come at a worse time. Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and Cayden James (Michael Emerson) up the ante, kidnapping Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) in an attempt to trade his life for a weapon of mass destruction. Somehow, the fracturing team will have to find a way to come together to save not only Lance’s life, but all of Star City and maybe the world as well.

Arrow airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW. The midseason finale titled “Irreconcilable Differences” will air on Thursday, December 7th.
