It's officially Thanksgiving in the United States, which means that this time tomorrow, everyone will be making a move to celebrate their next holiday. That's what we do, pretty much from October until January.
For many Americans, that means getting decorations for the Christmas tree, stocking up on warm-weather clothing, and generally preparing for all the long winter's nights ahead.
Our friends over at Merchoid are making that easier, with a new array of holiday baubles, Christmas tree ornaments, and pop culture-themed sweaters.
Earlier this month, the site announced a new collection of Christmas Ornaments/Baubles based on popular geek brands Star Wars, Deadpool, The Avengers and Adventure Time have been revealed today by online geek culture retailer Merchoid.com. Each set includes a set of six ornaments, featuring minimalist cartoon artwork and characters from their respective brands.
- The Deadpool baubles/Christmas ornaments feature comic artwork of the infamous 'merc with a mouth' saying different phrases like 'Merry Chimichanga', and 'Am I seriously on a bauble?'
- The new Star Wars: Force Awakens baubles/Christmas ornaments feature favourite new characters Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren, BB-8 and more.
- The Adventure Time baubles/Christmas ornaments feature classy artwork of Jake, Finn, Beemo and the gang.
- The Avengers baubles/Christmas ornaments feature the world-saving team of superheroes: Captain America, The Hulk, Iron Man, Ant Man, Black Panther and Thor.
- Merchoid's bestselling Star Wars Christmas ornaments/baubles from last year have been re-released; they're based on characters from the original Star Wars trilogy films.
The Baubles/Christmas ornaments are available to preorder from Merchoid now for £19.99/€27,99/$29.99 and ship in time for Christmas.
Also available are a number of "ugly Christmas sweater"-inspired designs. We already told you about the Batman and Deadpool varieties, but there's more now -- including a Superman to match the Batman, a Suicide Squad-inspired "Daddy's Li'l Monster" sweater, and more.
For the last few years, "ugly Christmas sweaters" have become a geek culture staple, with dozens of websites offering the products -- usually in the form of sweatshirts with their designs meant to look like knitted sweaters -- for dozens of properties.
The sweaters are available to buy now at Merchoid for £36.99/$54.99/€49,99.
