The team has suffered a major loss after last week's episode of Arrow, but that unfortunate tragedy just might bring Felicity back into the fold.

Spoilers from here on out.

Damien Darhk dealt a huge blow to the group when he killed Laurel Lance here, known to most as Black Canary. While the team deals with the loss, that event will trigger a change in direction for Felicity, who had previously stepped away from the team and from Oliver. Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim spoke about this change of heart to TV Line.

"There are two issues. She's broken up with Oliver and she's also broken up with the team essentially. And in Episode 19 ['Canary Cry,' airing Wednesday, April 27], we'll see the undoing of one of those decisions."

According to showrunner Wendy Mericle, just because she is possibly coming back to the team does not mean fans of the couple should necessarily get their hopes up.

"One does not mean the other is going to happen. She could come back to the team and that does not mean that she's back together with Oliver."

Mericle continued in regards to Felicity's direction this season.

"We started off this season with Felicity really wanting to come back and do this because she herself enjoys this kind of vigilante lifestyle, but that is separate from Oliver. In [the Season 4 premiere], he didn't want to; it was more about her making herself happy than anything else. So she'll be grappling in some ways with that."

It's not a sure thing that these two will reconcile, but there is always hope.

Arrow's next episode, Canary Cry, airs on Wednesday, April 27th.
