Every Character Seen In Injustice 2 Story Trailer

The Injustice 2 Story trailer has finally been released, and the game looks to be as epic as fans have been hoping it would be.

The story sees Supergirl – probably under the control of Braniac – facing off against the rest of the superheroes. Some footage also sees other villains seemingly banding together to face off against the Justice League.

Batman is watching over things, Superman is losing his mind, and every frame seemed to outdo the next.

With all of the events of this trailer, it was hard to tell exactly which characters were featured in the footage.

Superman

Just as in the first chapter of the Injustice franchise, Superman is completely broken. He just can’t handle the loss of Lois Lane.

The trailer shows the fact that Lane was pregnant, sending Supes into an even deeper fit of rage. 

Superman is on a rampage, and we will all be along for the ride.

 

Batman

It’s no surprise that Batman was all through this trailer, but the Dark Knight definitely grabbed some of the most epic moments of the footage.

Between his overwatch scene, and that awesome Superhero landing, Bats totally stole the show. It’s going to be epic seeing him take on Damian in the story mode.

 

Supergirl

Supergirl is going to be front and center in this new game, and the story looks to be totally driven by her contributions.

If you pay close attention, it seems that she is being controlled by Braniac throughout Injustice, causing her to play the villain.

Family will be tested here.

 

Wonder Woman

Completing the Trinity, Wonder Woman shows off an epic look in this trailer.

Seeing the Amazonian Princess take on Supergirl was mind-blowing, and that shield was a sight to behold. 

Seriously, she looks to be one of the most epic characters in the entire game.

 

Harley Quinn

Harley wasn’t in the trailer much, but the small video was enough to confirm her existence within the Injustice story.

Batman saw the famous villain killing a man on one of his TV screens, so he’s keeping tabs on her whereabouts.

Look for Harley to be a character in Injustice from the jump.

 

Lois Lane

Sadly, Lois Lane is still dead in the Injustice universe. Her death at the hands of Joker is still sending shockwaves across the worlds of the characters.

Even from beyond the grave, Lane is still making her presence felt in the story mode, and it looks like she will actually make a bigger appearance this time around.

 

Poison Ivy

It hadn’t yet been announced that Poison Ivy was involved in the game, but her brief appearance in this trailer was confirmation enough.

Her powers are likely going to be epic in the game, as she can do some incredible things in the comics. Also, her and Bane’s stories could tie together really well as the game progresses.

 

Bane

Bane was one of the strongest characters in the original Injustice game, so it’s only fitting that he would appear again in the sequel. Until this trailer however, his involvement hadn’t been announced.

When Bane appeared in the new trailer, he had the word ‘Society’ painted on the wall behind him. Could this be a tease to the fall of society, or the Secret Society of Supervillains?

 

Damian Wayne/Robin

There are plenty of versions of Robin in DC comics, with both Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne appearing in Injustice: Gods Among Us as variants of Nightwing.

The son of Bruce Wayne will return in Injustice 2, but this time in a Robin costume, and he’s seen fighting his father in the trailer. Could he be controlled by Braniac as well? Or does Damian just have some serious daddy issues? And why has he reverted back to Robin (which WB Games confirmed is his playable character)?

 

Joker

It’s a given that the Joker will appear in any DC property game, as he’s one of the studio’s most popular characters in history.

In the trailer, he only shows up once, but it’s in that iconic Superman-heel-turn scene. We watch as Supes sticks his hand straight through the villain’s chest – killing him instantly.

 

Braniac

Braniac has been revealed as the big bad villain of Injustice 2, showing that he is in total control of the game’s events.

He is pulling Supergirl’s strings like a puppet, and causing mayhem around the world. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens when your character has to go up against the villain in a boss level.

 

Darkseid

Darkseid has now been confirmed as a playable character in Injustice 2, but it comes with a catch. 

The villain can only be attained as a pre-order bonus. Head out and put in your pre-order now, so you can get access to the ultimate Justice League villain from the start.
