Court is in session for Gotham season three.
Many of Batman's more popular villains have already made their presence felt on the hit show Gotham, and now their ranks will be joined by one of the most recent additions to Batman lore.
That comes courtesy of The Court of Owls, a group created by Scott Snyder in his and Greg Capullo's much-loved run on the core Batman comic. Executive Producer of Gotham John Stephens recently revealed the first poster for the upcoming season, which features the tagline "All Will Be Judged" and spoke to Zap2it about their plans for season three.
“We will dive much more deeply into them in Season 3. The Court of Owls, this sort of illuminati group that’s been pulling the strings behind Gotham for centuries and might be the real culprits in the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne, among other things.”
The Court of Owls is a secret society that has operated behind the scenes of Gotham for ages, unbeknownst to even Batman. They groom assassins from a young age and eventually promote them to become Talons, the elite operatives who perform their master's bidding, which often involves taking out people who oppose their ultimate goals.
Gotham returns to FOX on September 19th, and more information will likely be presented at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
