The cast continues to grow, proving that a ton of classic Aquaman characters will make themselves known. Mera, Orm, Black Manta, Vulko, and Atlanna are all confirmed to appear alongside Arthur Curry in the movie.
That's a pretty long list, and there's surely more to come. However, if you're a fan of Young Justice or Teen Titans, there's one glaring omission to the cast.
What about Aqualad?
Many have been asking if the famous sidekick will appear in Aquaman. Finally, on Twitter, director James Wan shut down those rumors once and for all.
Absolutely not at all. But thanks for asking. https://t.co/THEIDZG1n8— James Wan (@creepypuppet) February 20, 2017
After Wan was pretty definitive about the character not showing up in the film, some fans stated that their hearts were being broken. This gave Wan an opportunity to explain why he chose not to include Aqualad in the movie, and his answer makes a ton of sense.
How about we get Batman established properly first, before we cram in Robin. https://t.co/RlX3YiWelB— James Wan (@creepypuppet) February 20, 2017
