Captain Cold is set to appear in the new season of Legends of Tomorrow, and The CW is now teasing return of the Rogue with a new clip.

The new promo is a part of The CW’s Super Season videos, the tease coming in the one aptly titled “Cold Brew.” Check out the clip above!
In the video, a reporter on the television remarks that crime has increased drastically in the last year before pointing out that Captain Cold has escaped from prison.
We know that Wentworth Miller will be reappearing as Leonard Snart in Legends of Tomorrow’s third season, but it’s unclear in what capacity at this point.
The character died in the end of the first season, sacrificing himself in order to stop the renegade Time Master from controlling everyone’s fate to allow Vandal Savage to take over the world. Snart blew up the Oculus, allowing his team to escape and correct history.
But given all of the time travel in the series, Captain Cold wasn’t out of commission for long. Though he became more heroic over the years, the Legion of Doom recruited him from his time when he was more morally bankrupt and rewrote reality in their image.
After the Legends defeated the Legion, Snart’s BFF Mick Rory erased his memory and returned him to the proper point in his timeline.
The Flash then recruited Snart at a point when he was still alive and trapped in the past during his time with the Legends, using him to steal the Speed Force cannon in order to fight against Savitar.
But when Snart finally returns on Legends of Tomorrow in Season Three, he likely won’t be the character fans have gotten accustomed to seeing. At San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer Marc Guggenheim hinted that it would be a different version of the character.
It remains to be seen if Snart will be from a different Earth or if all of the Legends’ time-breaking shenanigans altered his history and subsequent fate.
We’ll find out when Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW Tuesday, October 10.
