The CW has released a new Legends of Tomorrow featurette, and introduced fans to a pretty amazing anachronism in the process.

The video sets up tonight’s midseason finale, which is titled “Beebo The God of War”. As the video explains, the episode’s namesake is actually a delightfully cuddly childrens’ toy, which is displaced to Viking times along with a young Martin Stein (Graeme McComb).
“I think that’s pretty self-explanatory, right?” jokes executive producer Phil Klemmer during the video. “What we learn in this episode is that a Beebo was displaced along with the man who had purchased it for his little girl on the fifth night of Hanukkah, Martin Stein.”
In the process, the Beebo ends up being discovered by the Vikings, who decide to accept it as some sort of deity (with hilarious results).
“Beebo is this talking little sort of puppet, like a Tickle Me Elmo.” Klemmer explains. “And the Vikings think that this little animatronic thing is one of the Pagan gods. So instead of adopting Christianity, they’re all worshipping Beebo. The Vikings don’t head back to Scandinavia, they just keep charging across the new world.”
How will the Legends deal with this delightful anachronism? How will Leonard “Leo” Snart/Citizen Cold (Wentworth Miller) fit with the team? And what’s up with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and his heavy metal hair? Legends fans will have to tune into “Beebo The God of War” to find out.
Legends of Tomorrow airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
