Are DC's Colonel Hardy And Alfred The DCEU's Smartest People?

The DC Extended Universe has many side characters helping its superheroes along to victory over evil, with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman employing a cast of quality actors in supporting roles.

Two of the major supporting characters (one from each respective film) are no doubt Col. Nathan Hardy (Christopher Meloni) from Man of Steel, and Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons) in Batman v Superman. Now, one DCEU fan has created a meme that asks: Are these two men the smartest people in the DCEU?

Clearly the idea behind the meme is that if characters of DCEU movies listened to the men trying to tell them that Superman was a good guy, then a lot of the chaos the resulted from 'good guys v good guys' in both films would've been avoided.

The meme touches on just one of the many issues that DC fans have had with the logic of these films. By now we know there are so many other issues that have been debated back and forth, to the point that there is still a massive love/hate divide for both MoS and BvS. Still this particular meme reminds one of Jack Bauer Fact #896: "If everyone listened to Jack Bauer, the show would be called 12."

Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are both available on home video. Superman (and Alfred) will next be seen in Justice League on November 17, 2017. As far as anyone knows, Col. Hardy died heroically during the battle of Metropolis.
