Yesterday, a Suicide Squad viral marketing website, presenting itself as a set of ARGUS data files, appeared online.
Suicide Squad and Justice League fans have been toying with the site, attempting to unlock its secrets. One user on Reddit managed to hit paydirt, unlocking a new image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
The image shows Aquaman without his regal, Atlantean accouterments. Instead, Aquaman is wearing a simple black tank top in what looks like a small village on a coastline.
Momoa made his debut as Aquaman in a brief appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Momoa will return as Aquaman for Justice League, which just wrapped filming in London before heading to Iceland for additional production. Momoa gave a public, not-so-fond farewell to the Justice League London set's home gym.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher.
Justice League opens in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
