A new synopsis for the upcoming Warner Bros. and DC Films super hero ensemble flick Justice League films has surfaced online. The text comes from an Asian film magazine that includes a number of upcoming movies for the rest of the year.
The synopsis reads...
In the wake of Clark Kent/Superman's (Cavill) death at the hands of Doomsday in BvS, vigilante Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) reevaluates his extreme methods and begins reaching out to extraordinary heroes to assemble a team of crime-fighters to defend earth from all kinds of threats. Together with Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), Batman seeks out cybernetically enhanced former college football star Vic Stone/Cyborg (Fisher), speedster Barry Allen/The Flash (Miller) and Atlantean warrior king Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Momoa). They face off against Steppenwolf (Hinds), the herald and second-in-command to alien warlord Darkseld, who is charged by Darkseid with hunting down three artefacts hidden on earth.
We've reached out to Warner Brothers to check the validity of the synopsis and will update as soon as we hear back.
Justice League is directed by Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice's Zack Snyder. The film exists in the DC Extended Universe which includes both of the previously mentioned films and the David Ayer directed Suicide Squad and the to-be-released Patty Jenkins film Wonder Woman.
Following Justice League, the DC Extended Universe will continue to expand with a standalone Batman film, a sequel to Man of Steel, Gotham City Sirens, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, a Justice League sequel, and Green Lantern Corps taking up the release schedule through 2020.
