When The Flash returns next week, there will be a pall of concern upon Team Flash. That's because Barry accidentally went into the future, where he saw Savitar, the self-proclaimed "God of Speed," brutally murder his lady love, Iris West. Now, the mission is to figure out how they can stop that future from coming into fruition.
It sounds like that might not be up to The Flash himself, but Cisco - and what he can learn from the newcomer to the show, Gypsy, played by Jessica Camacho.
"We're going to see Cisco really realize what he can do," EP Aaron Helbing told EW. "Gypsy is a very formidable adversary. He never realized the extent of his powers, and because of seeing Gypsy, he's going to become more and more in tune with his powers and what he can do, whether it's crossing dimensions or opening breaches much faster and quicker. He's going to be building confidence, and that'll definitely play into the rest of the season of helping Barry and the team stop Savitar from killing Iris."
Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has made huge progress in the last year or so in controlling his powers, which allow him to harness the vibrations of the universe (and multiverse) itself, with vibrational blasts, and the ability to open portals between worlds (helping them with that particular story need). With more power, of course, will also come more responsibility, so it sounds like Cisco has a big second half of the season ahead.
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
